Feature & Follow #7

Feature & Follow is a Friday meme created and hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read! Answer a feature question, make new friends and gain new followers!

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

Oh this is SUCH an interesting question, but unfortunately, nothing exciting happens for me here. Reading is like an escape route out of our hectic lives. Being a student can be especially tiring and I find that reading lets me forget everything and enjoy a completely different world in a different dimension. So no, it doesn't matter what mood I'm in, when I read, I just read practically anything (besides my school textbooks, of course)

How about you guys? ^_^ Link me up and I'll be hopping!

  3. Anything but textbooks for me thank-you xD. My mom doesn't understand this, when I was in school she said I should read my textbooks more because I read all the time um yes I read fiction books all the time. The ones that are fun and entertaining, completely different from business textbooks. When I told her they were boring she looked at me like I was crazy o.O.

  9. What a great answer! Though I think my mood does influence my reading habits, albeit in a small way, I completely understand what you're saying! We read to get away from reality.<3

  17. I actually find my reading selections following my moods. If I'm in a really stinky mood, I'll pick up Stephen King's 'The Stand', and then remind myself life could always get much, much worse, lol. If I need a laugh, I'll pick up something by David Sedaris (doesn't matter what), and laugh till it hurts.
